A three-judge bench of the Supreme Court (Justices Sisira de Abrew, Vijith Malalgoda and Preethi Padman Surasena) found Ranjan Ramanayake guilty of contempt of court over remarks he made in 2017 about judges, and sentenced him to four years' rigorous imprisonment.
