Sri Lankan authorities activated the Interpol process concerning Basil Rajapaksa, who is overseas and subject to outstanding arrest warrants in the Brown's Hill property case and the tourism T-shirt spending case. New case: SLPP's Renuka Perera arrested and remanded over Southern Expressway permit allegations

Court orders IGP to investigate Wimal Weerawansa's rally remarks on Namal Rajapaksa's remand order
During a hearing in Namal Rajapaksa's CIABOC bribery case, the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court ordered the Inspector General of Police to investigate whether remarks Wimal Weerawansa made at a 12 September SLPP rally in Anuradhapura, commenting on the court's earlier remand order against Rajapaksa, amount to contempt of court.
